Scope and Contents From the Sub-Series: Sheriff's Records consist of papers belonging to Transou Scott, Sheriff of Forsyth County in 1932 and the lead investigator in the death of Smith Reynolds. Reynolds was shot on a sleeping porch at Reynolda House on the night of 5 July 1932. Present in the house were his wife, broadway singer Libby Holman, and their friend Ab Walker.
