Scope and Contents

Subject Files include information of the tobacco business and the R.J. Reynolds tobacco company, R.J. and Katharine’s travel (specifically their European honeymoon in 1905), details of R.J. and Katharine’s social and philanthropic activities, and social events held at Reynolda. Items of note include numerous holiday cards sent by family and friends, a program for the Hiawatha pageant in 1921, a dance card for a costume ball held at the home in 1923, a golf card for the Reynolda Golf Links, and theatre and opera programs for performances attended by R.J. and Katharine Reynolds.
