Description

William Roy Wallace, a native of Pennsylvania, began his architectural career as an assistant to Charles Barton Keen. Wallace worked as a draftsman on the Reynolda project. Wallace moved to Winston-Salem in 1923 to oversee the construction of R.J. Reynolds High School. In 1928, Wallace established his own architectural firm with Harold Macklin and James M. Conrad. Wallace was interviwed by Lu Ann Jones in 1980 as part of the Reynolda oral history project.
